Leida Mane is a self-taught visual artist and spoken word poet born and raised in Lawrence, MA. Inspired by her own reality and identity she is creating her own world through mixed media such as acrylic on canvas, wood, and cardboard to name a few. In her artwork, Mane creates faces and characters inspired by her own facial features and body traits and of those who are around her. Through her writing Mane transforms and shifts her pain, and experiences into something that’s beautiful, empowering, and inspirational. With the world and herself as her muse, Mane is actively releasing and healing through her creative expressions. She is an artist who doesn’t create the “right way”; she does it her own way.
