Last week was a busy week for Elevated Thought:
Some of our Phoenix Academy Students and student leaders are collaborating with Mosi Makori, Co-Director of Students at the Center, a writing and video arts organization based in New Orleans, producing an education activism mixed media project to present at the AERA Youth Tribunal: Education Research and Education as a Human Right Conference in Chicago this April. This project is to aid researchers into understanding the youth consciousness in regards to education in urban areas and proactive ways youth can be involved in improving education in their cities. Mosi came up last week to lead an open dialogue and will be back again next week as we continue to develop the project. In addition to Elevated Thought students, staff and students from Movement City and Andover Bread Loaf are also involved.
Elevated Thought kicked off our first C3 run at the Salem, MA Boys & Girls Club. We'll be there once a week for the next 12 weeks.
