As an Artist in Residence, Chenara (she/her) creates and develops fashion design projects, sharing her skills with her peers and youth. As a first-generation, Asian American born and raised in Lawrence, MA, Chenara’s upbringing plays a large role in her identity. She is inspired by motherhood, her travels, appreciation for food, music, and architecture with her mother and grandmother being the most influential. 

 

Through fashion design as well as styling and photography, Chenara aims to instill confidence in the youth, guiding them in following their paths to what brings them happiness while challenging their skill and craft, and encouraging their freedom of expression.
