The power of the youth is real. They went and conquered D.C. through their minds, passion, creativity, and the love of their city. We’re grateful to work with such incredible youth; those that went on the trip and those who are just as much a part of the ‘What is Education?’ campaign that were there in spirit.
‘What is Education?’ is a youth-driven campaign started over a year ago through Elevated Thought and our contract with the Mayor’s Health Task Force to coordinate the Lawrence Youth Council. It is the result of 15 months of collaborative efforts collecting surveys, engaging the youth on the topic of Education, and creating various art media that brought to life the youth vision of a progressive education system for Lawrence.
