On Saturday March 28th, Elevated Thought joined Bread Loaf for a Superhero Saturday with elementary school students at the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence. Marquis led a workshop 'Mixed Media Man & Woman'. Using mixed media - comic book pages, paint markers, words - students worked in groups and built a superhero on a large wood panel with a sketch outline from Elevated Thought artist and lead art teacher, David Christopher. Each part of the superhero represented a different power used to better their community or a challenging situation in their lives.
Bread Loaf Director Lou Bernieri hands the mic to one of our workshop students to read her poem. Later on in the day, our C3 students in NA displayed some of the their artwork at the North Andover Youth and Recreation Services Annual Fundraiser.
