Non Sibi Day @ Phillips

On Friday, Elevated Thought took part in Non Sibi Day (not for self) at Phillips Academy Andover. Marquis led a workshop around deconstructing and reconstructing the selfie. Each participant took a selfie on their phone and analyzed it, almost looking back into their own soul. They then created an intimate, abstract mixed media piece on the male or female silhouette painted on a wood panel by David Christopher. The point was to create a visual ‘selfie’ of who they really see themselves to be, beyond the image from their camera in a fixed pose.
